No, Slideator is fully cloud-based, so there's no need to download or install any software, applications, extensions, or add-ins. You can access all features directly through your web browser, allowing you to record, edit, and share video presentations effortlessly. Whether on a desktop, laptop, or tablet, Slideator's browser-based interface is optimized for flexibility and ease of use, providing a smooth experience for creating and sharing professional presentations anytime, anywhere. To publish and share your video presentation, start by opening your slides or document in PPTX, KEY, ODP, WPS, or PDF format. Select your audio device and enable your camera if you want to include a live feed. Click Start to begin recording, and use Pause/Resume as needed. You can change camera layouts via the Cam menu during recording. When finished, click Stop, review your video, and then Save it to your Slideator cloud account. Share your video link with your audience, who can watch it on desktop or mobile devices across all major operating systems (Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, Linux, ChromeOS). Slideator videos can also be shared or embedded in any LMS (Google Classroom, Moodle, Blackboard), MOOC (edX, Coursera, Udacity), CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal), or social platform, making it easy to reach your audience wherever they are.

Slideator leverages the YouTube API to host videos for free, minimizing costs for users while ensuring easy sharing and reliable streaming. For users on personal and professional plans, Slideator also offers the option to download and host videos on its own media streaming servers, providing a robust, independent solution tailored to organizational needs.

Slideator is currently free to use! For now, all users can enjoy features similar to the Professional Plan at no cost. In the near future, Slideator will offer multiple plans to suit different needs:
Basic Plan (Free): Ideal for students and light users. Supports PPTX and PDF slides, with one video upload per day, stored on Slideator's YouTube channel.
Personal Plan: Expanded support with up to five presentations per day and videos up to 45 minutes at 1080p, stored on Slideator's media server or YouTube.
Professional Plan: Designed for heavy users, offering unlimited presentations, and storage options on Slideator's servers, YouTube, or both. For updated limits, please sign in to check your Usage Limits.

The YouTube API is a powerful interface that allows Slideator to interact directly with YouTube for seamless video uploading, management, and streaming. Through this API, Slideator can securely authenticate uploads, manage privacy settings, and control video details without users leaving the platform.
For Basic Plan users, the API enables Slideator to upload videos directly to its dedicated YouTube channel, providing free storage and access to YouTube's advanced streaming technology. This includes adaptive bitrate streaming, which delivers optimal quality based on the viewer's network, device, and screen size.
For higher-tier plans, Slideator offers flexible storage options: videos can be stored on Slideator's secure media servers, YouTube, or both. Leveraging YouTube's global content delivery network (CDN) ensures fast, reliable streaming with minimal buffering and high-quality playback across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.

Videos recorded with the Slideator Video Recorder are created directly in your web browser. During recording, they are temporarily stored locally, ensuring privacy and security until you choose to upload them. After finishing and previewing your video, click the "Save" button to upload it to your Slideator account, where it becomes accessible for sharing, streaming, and further management.

For most users, videos recorded and uploaded through Slideator are hosted on the Slideator YouTube channel, ensuring streamlined storage, consistent access, and high-quality playback. However, Professional Plan users have the option to upload videos directly to their own YouTube channel, providing greater control over hosting while still leveraging Slideator's tools for recording, editing, and sharing.

Videos may be removed from Slideator for reasons outlined in our Terms of Use. Common causes include:
- Content that violates compliance standards, such as inappropriate or sexually explicit material
- Videos that do not meet quality requirements (e.g., altered or poor-quality recordings)
- Use of third-party copyrighted material without permission
- Videos not recorded using Slideator Recorders
If your video was removed, we recommend reviewing the Terms of Use to understand the platform's compliance requirements and ensure adherence to Slideator policies.

When you upload a presentation to Slideator, slides are converted into static images to ensure fast loading, smooth playback, and compatibility across all devices. As a result, in-slide animations (e.g., bullet points appearing one-by-one, zoom effects, flying objects) and original transition effects from PowerPoint or Google Slides are not preserved. However, you can re-apply or define your own transitions using the Transition dropdown menu in the toolbar, with options like Fade In, Slide from Left, Wipe In, Zoom In, and more. To simulate bullet-by-bullet animations, we recommend creating multiple slides, revealing each point step by step.

The AI Narration Assistant is a built-in tool in Slideator that helps you generate professional-quality voice-over scripts tailored to your presentation content. You can customize the narration length, tone, target audience, and language to create engaging and effective narration without writing scripts manually.During recording, the AI-generated narration can be automatically synced with your slides, camera feed, and other media, allowing you to preview the timing and flow in real-time. Once your video is recorded, the narration ensures that your presentation is clear, polished, and professional. Viewers can watch the final video with synchronized audio and slides, giving a seamless experience whether they are on desktop, tablet, or mobile devices.
